Being Well Basics – It’s All About FLOW by Lainee Anderson
AIR As we know air is the basis for maintaining life itself and is essential for robust wellbeing; however we are not always aware of how much we pollute our internal and external environment, by the choices we make and also the air we choose to breathe.
PRAYER Praying can be a most powerful action to assist us to maintain harmony and wellness. You may already simply sit and Contemplate, Ruminate, Postulate, Reflect Gratitude or Meditate.
WATER There is a lot of talk about water these days, bottled water sales are booming. How many of us truly consume good clean water consistently or enough to keep us fully hydrated?
WASTE We need to ensure that we are keeping waste moving through the tubes, oxidants are being released properly, out through the pores, breath, bowel and kidneys, not hanging around in our systems
WHOLE Whole Foods are considered to be Fruit, Vegetables and whole Grains including Brown Rice and Oatmeal. Nuts and Seeds can be added to the list along with sprouts.
RAW Raw food is helpful in regards to increasing our energy while reducing the energy drain of resources that cooking entails. So say the experts, there is protein building amino-acids in all fruit and vegetables.
HIBERNATION Sleep tends to be seen as an inactive/negative time while it is an active/positive time where the body restores itself. In ancient cultures sleep was a given, it was a non-negotiable.
REGENERATION Do less, do more is the basic communication of cells and too much of one or the other initiates disorder, leading to wellbeing dysfunction. Refuelling our Nutritional Density allows our cellular structure to regenerate and retain the Yin Yang balance.
SELF To discover and transform our real self, emotionally, physically and spiritually, while leveraging these 3 allows us to evolve towards our true self while healing at maximum potential.
SIMPLICITY Instilling simplicity into our life feels for some like a huge challenge. Simplicity however can alleviate many of the negative impacts affecting our lives. Contrary to popular belief, it certainly doesn’t need to equate to a boring existence.
MOTION Motion obviously includes exercise. It doesn’t need to be strenuous and can fit into our usual daily activities of gardening, housework, walking to work etc. Otherwise engage in a 30-40 minute walk at a pace enjoyable to you 4-5 times each week, Tai Chi or a similar practice.
EMOTION Our familial and societal structures have developed a belief system that it is not good to allow an emotion to be felt unless it is of an acceptable calibre such as happiness, celebration, joy, delight or some other positive expression. The harder you resist/suppress negative emotions the harder they kick back and create Stress, which is well documented as creating illness.
PURPOSE A purpose will usually incorporate a goal or outcome of some kind which is mainly determined by how strong our desire to accomplish it is. How purposefully we live our life in line with loving passions and desires, most generally dictates our personal satisfaction and wellbeing outcomes.
PASSION Passions are pastimes that enrich us and are performed without expectation of reward or remuneration which is not to say they will be fruitless. In fact abundance most usually flows freely, when a passion is approached from a pure intent.
ALLOWANCE It is surely through allowance that we will come to a state of unity with all our brothers and sisters, across the nations, cultures, creeds and races. As Gandhi said “Be the change you want to see in the world”. But if we are not open to allowance we mainly cannot change.
ADMITTANCE There are many parts of our life where admittance can assist us practically. For example if we are driving and feeling tired, without admittance of this we are more likely to have an accident. If we admit to making a mistake we feel freer and become a more trustworthy person in the eyes of our peers.
LEARN Ideally we never stop learning and maintain a thirst for knowledge and truth throughout our whole life. It dawned on me recently that we are either enduring or enjoying and we need to endure lessons of life sometimes it seems, to come to enjoy the fruits of our knowledge, education and wisdom.
LOVE To truly love others is not to pander to them, appease them or respond to any unloving demands and expectations of us. It is to speak truth with an open heart in a loving manner, to desist from directing our anger at them or exert demands for their love in return for ours. A large percentage of people also feel that love is expressed from the mind (or via material gifts) and so don’t understand or experience true love as a feeling from the essence of their being.
